With PAX Prime set to start later this week, those attendees wanting to get their hands on the Oculus Rift can now download the official app to book their demonstrations. The app for Android and iOS also reveals which titles are going to be on display for visitors to experience.
The list of titles will be familiar to those who have been keeping up to date through VRFocus, which have seen outings at previous events like Gamescom, Cologne. Those titles currently listed on the app are, CCP Games’ EVE: Valkyrie, Edge of Nowhere, Gunfire Games’ Chronos, AirMech VR, Lucky’s Tale, Herobound: Spirit Champion, VR Sports: Challenge, Esper by Coatsink and High Voltage’s Damaged Core.
Also revealed by the app and GearVR.uk is the line up for the Samsung Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) at the show. No further news yet of the consumer version of the Gear VR although that is widely expected to be announced at the Oculus Connect 2 event in September. But on show at PAX which VRFocus has recently reported on, is the fact that the consumer version of the Oculus Rift, aka CV1, will have its first US public debut at PAX, as its reveal at E3 in June was a trade only event.
VRFocus will report on all the latest news and reveals directly from PAX Prime when the event starts later this week.
