Virtual reality (VR) technology has won a number of awards for the companies involved in developing it and pushing the tech to market. Most recently the HTC Vive won the Best Hardware Inc Peripheral award at Gamescom in Germany earlier this month. Currently open for public voting are the T3 Awards 2015 for all the latest technology, and featuring in some of the categories are some head-mounted display’s (HMD).
VR devices like the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Microsoft HoloLens and Samsung Gear VR feature in multiple categories, all which have been whittled down from a long list down to the current short list all by public voting.
The categories and entrants are listed below:
Gadget of the Year: Samsung Gear VR, Apple Watch, Apple iPad Air 2, HTC One M9, FitBit Charge HR, Garmin Forerunner 920 XT, Smasung Galaxy S6 Edge, Canon EOS 7D Mark II, GoPro Hero 4 Black, DJI Phantom 3 Pro.
