GDC Europe and Gamescom are over for another year and someone at Oculus VR has finally updated the VR Share Store with a significant number of new releases. Both of which mean that New To VR is back with more new virtual reality (VR) apps, videogames and experiences for you this week.
Our first selection is a videogame for the Oculus Rift DK2 head-mounted display (HMD) developed and published by Dark Matter Studios.
RGBverse is a retro feeling ‘constant roller’ arcade-style platform title, which is to say that you control a ball which is constantly in motion along a series of tricky courses. You must dodge projectiles, jump across gaps and navigate condition sensative gates all whilst avoiding traps before dealing with a series of end level bosses. Not to forget the most important aspect – don’t fall!
Comprising a story mode of three worlds, challenge stages and a number of speed settings to increase your difficulty, RGBverse looks like it will provide fans of the action/puzzle/platform genre something to really get their teeth into in VR.
