While virtual reality (VR) fans wait for the official launch of the head-mounted displays (HMD), which are still some months away, the likely hood that these platforms will lack sufficient content reduces with each passing day. New VR videogames are revealed or new 360 degree video experiences are launched showing that creators the world over are keen on VR technology. And now a Kickstarter crowd funding campaign has launched to bring what is possibly the first burlesque cabaret show to VR.
French VR content creators Owl Perception has teamed up with world famous burlesque artiste Mademoiselle Loison to create Olala Party – 360 Cabaret, a VR cabaret show. The team behind Olala Party is looking to raise €25,000 EUR through its Kickstarter funding campaign to bring the project to life, with costs going towards production, streaming and artistic expenses.
If successful, backers who pledge €25 EUR will get VR access to the show where backers over €150 EUR will among other benefits, receive a customised Cardboard head-mounted display (HMD) unit to view the worldwide stream of Olala Party – 360 Cabaret on the 25th October 2015.
VRFocus will follow the progress of Owl Perception’s funding campaign and report any further updates.
