IM360 is one company that specialises in professional 360 degree video, and has teamed up with the Tribeca Film Festival to launch a new app called TFF: Sinatra at 100.
The TFF: Sinatra at 100 app is to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Frank Sinatra by providing fans of his music a front row seat to a tribute concert filmed in full 360 degree video. The performance was shot with three 360 degree cameras – audience front row, singer’s microphone, and on the piano to give viewers a controllable immersive experience.
The app features many of Sinatra’s all time greatest hits including Fly Me to the Moon, Luck Be a Lady, You Make Me Feel So Young and New York, New York. Performed by artists like Brandon Flowers, NE-YO, Lea DeLaria and Alice Smith.
It’s free to download from the iTunes app store and Google Play. The experience can be viewed as a normal 360 degree video of if you have a Google Cardboard or similar device the video can be enjoyed in full VR.
