Studio Wildcard are set to bring the hugely popular ARK: Survival Evolved to PAX Prime, Seattle, this week and have now detailed exactly what attendees will be able to get their hands-on at the show. With more than 1.7 million downloads since its Steam Early Access launch in June 2015, ARK: Survival Evolved will showcase new gameplay features as well as hosting daily competitions throughout PAX Prime.
In ARK: Survival Evolved, players awake naked and starving on the beach of a mysterious island among other confused humans. In order to survive they must work together to explore the vast island of ARK. ARK: Survival Evolved is an open-world experience currently in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The latter two of these formats will support virtual reality (VR) with Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift, respectively.
The latest build of ARK: Survival Evolved will be available for all to play at the Reverb booth, #125, throughout the event. Key members of the development team will be attending the show and offering gamers the opportunity to explore the newly released ‘Survival of the Fittest’ competitive mode, with which players can vie against one another in daily contests.
Developed by Studio Wildcard, in conjunction with Instinct Games, ARK: Survival Evolved will launch in June 2016 on PlayStation 4 with Project Morpheus support, Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program, and Steam, including Oculus Rift VR support. PAX Prime takes place 28th – 31st August 2015, at the Washington Conference Center, Seattle, and VRFocus will be in attendance to bring you all the latest from the show floor.
