Last weekend VRFocus reported on the launch of Teleportaled, a brand new virtual reality (VR) comedy movie. The piece was the debut 360 degree effort from PAVR Media and is available to watch on Youtube. Of course, this means that those will a Google Cardboard mobile head-mounted display (HMD) and an Android smartphone can load up the official Youtube app and watch the movie in VR, but those hoping to see it using other HMDs such as the Oculus Rift and Gear VR are also in luck.
PAVR Media has released downloadable versions of its new movie, with the option to view it in both 4K and 2K resolutions. The download is available at 60FPS for free on the company’s official website. For those that missed it, the Youtube version of the movie, which lasts for around 4 minutes.
Teleportaled mixes both sci-fi and comedy as a group of 3 friends stumble into a warehouse to find a device that transports them to different locations with the press of a button. The device itself serves as the 360 degree camera, meaning the characters are essentially interacting with the audience at all times. Locations range from a funfair to a sunset beach, though the group soon realises that they cannot control the locations.
VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR experiences, reporting back with the latest updates on its progress.
