If you’re a budding virtual reality (VR) developer or slightly more seasoned then the Saturday VR Code Lab might be right up your street. Being held on Saturday 18th July the VR code lab is a chance for software developers build and share skills at the all day event.
The event will be split in two, during the morning the code lab will focus on Google Cardboard, and will be presented by instructor Jono Forbes a lifelong game developer, designer, and teacher, focused on VR. Forbes founded Defective Studios, where he’s currently leading development on VRMT, a VR world building app where users create environments within VR, available on the Oculus Rift, Cardboard, Gear VR and HTC Vive.
The afternoon code lab is on the Samsung Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) and is present by Dustin Wish. Dustin is the resident VR evangelist for Samsung helping developers, designers and film makers.
The event has been organised by Google Developers Group, Boston Virtual Reality Group and Boston Android, and takes place at 355 Main St, Cambridge, Massachusetts between 10am and 5pm. Registration for the Saturday VR Code Lab finishes on Friday 17th July.
