It’s always encouraging to see members of prominent, successful development studios step back from their ‘safe’ positions and take a chance on virtual reality (VR). Tommy Palm is one of those people. Earlier in the year Palm exited King, developer of the ever-popular Candy Crush Saga, to start a new Stockholm-based team by the name of Resolution Games. The studio is dedicated to making VR content and, just a few months after its opening, it’s nearly ready to release its first title; Solitaire Jester.
VRFocus recently spoke to Palm about the developer’s debut project, which brings the classic card game to the Gear VR mobile head-mounted display (HMD). Palm also touches on Resolution Games’ desire to create family-friendly VR content and the chances of working on other platforms outside of Gear VR in the future.
VRFocus will continue to follow Resolution Games’ progress in the future, reporting back with any further updates from the team.
