To coincide with the Develop, Brighton this week, British virtual reality (VR) developer Tammeka Games has released a fourth update for its VR racer Radial-G: Racing Revolved. As previously reported Tammeka Games will be part of the 10-strong line up of developers at the Indie Showcase at Develop.
The new update includes a range of new additions as well as the usual bug fixes and tweaks. A single player career mode with 3 tiers of events to work through, 6 per tier with bronze/silver/gold trophies to be awarded depending upon results in each. Events will include a mix of single races, race championships, eliminators, death races, hot laps and rival 1-on-1 races. The ability to unlock a surprise 4th ship when players complete career mode to take into multiplayer and blast away the opposition; the new ship has similar handling feel to the single player demo ship with rapid responsive manoeuvrability and speeds (even faster with X-III class unlock). And for VR support, the developer recommends upgrading to OVR SDK 0.6 for a smoother performance.
Develop starts today (14th) and runs until 16th July 2015. The Indie Showcase will be open on the 15th and 16th within the Develop Expo. The event highlights independently-developed videogames selected by a judging panel of industry experts.
VRFocus will continue to follow all the latest updates from Tammeka Games and the expo.
