Oculus VR has today opened the registration process for their second annual Oculus Connect event, taking place in Hollywood this September. Furthermore, the virtual reality (VR) pioneer has opened the doors for guest speakers from the VR community.
The first Oculus Connect, held in September 2014, played host to the reveal of the Crescent Bay prototype as well as a number of new panels aimed at the VR development community. Oculus Connect 2 will likely offer further details on the consumer version of the Oculus Rift, currently set for release early in 2016, as well as the Oculus Touch controllers revealed at Oculus VR’s ‘Step into the Rift’ press event last month.
The registration process for Oculus Connect 2 has not been detailed to VRFocus, however ‘early bird’ registration will be priced at $495 USD with later applications set to be charged a standard fee of $695. A third tier, aimed at students and indie developers, is available for just $95. Interested parties can apply to attend from today at the official Oculus Connect 2 website.
Oculus Connect 2 will take place on 23rd – 25th September 2015, at Loews Hotel, Hollywood. VRFocus will be attending the event and will keep you updated with all the latest details from the show floor.
