Italian studio MixedBag Games is going to be one of the first developers out of the gate for the Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD) when it launches in the first half of next year. The team is preparing an update for its already released title, Futuridium EP Deluxe, what will add support for the device. At the same time, it’s also developing an entirely new spin-off for the project by the name of Futuridium VR. MixedBag Games is doing plenty in the VR space, then, and VRFocus recently spoke to the team’s Mauro Fanelli about its work.
In the interview below, Fanelli discusses developing a 120FPS experience on the PlayStation 4, something that fans will know is a rare thing. He also discusses the differences between the two upcoming titles and what VR really brings to the experience. VRFocus went hands-on with the experience at E3 this year and found the ported levels on offer to be surprisingly capable.
VRFocus will continue to follow Futuridium closely, reporting back with the latest updates on the project.
