After a successful first contest in 2014, virtual reality (VR) hand-tracking solution company Leap Motion has announced via their official blog that a second contest, Leap Motion Game Jam 2.0, will be accepting entries for six weeks starting from September 28th.
Up for grabs are $50,000 dollars worth of prizes split over two categories. First is the AR/VR track which will cover all apps developed for a tethered head-mounted display (HMD) whilst the ‘Open Track’ covers Android-based apps as well as those designed for use with a desktop computer.
The winner of the first Leap Motion Game Jam was indie developer Henry Hoffman’s first-person puzzle experience Aboard the Lookinglass, which used the player’s hand to reveal a window into the past or the future.
Entires may be submitted from the end of September wth the last day being November 6th but Leap Motion are already accepting registrations now from individuals or studios who would like to get involved. Interested parties can find out more information on the Leap Motion blog.
