Jorge Gutierrez a Mexican animator, writer and director who created the computer-animated adventure film The Book of Life and the television series El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, will be having a live discussion and Q&A with the VR community. Streamed live via Convrge, the talk is open to all and accessible via either the Convrge VR app or in a desktop view.
The Book of Life was critically and commercially successful on an international level and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and Jorge worked with the dedicated virtual reality (VR) team at Reel FX to produce bonus VR content for the film.
Gutierrez will be speaking on cinematic storytelling and constructing virtual worlds. He will also be talking about the dedicated VR experience they designed in conjunction with the film’s release.
As a production studio, Reel FX has launched a dedicated VR divisions which Gutierrez is probable involved with as they plan for the release of their next blockbuster ‘Kung Fu Space Western’ which Jorge maybe giving some sneak peeks into.
The Convrge event is taking place this Saturday 25th July at 1pm EST and can be viewed via the Convrge VR app on a compatible head-mounted display (HMD) or via your desktop.
