Atlanta Virtual Reality Meetup Celebrates 1st Anniversary

Virtual reality (VR) events aren’t just about massive exhibitions like the recent E3 in Los Angeles, California. A lot of the time events are smaller and more grass roots like VR in a Bar which is held in London. The Atlanta Virtual Reality Meetup is much the same and will be celebrating its first anniversary this weekend.

The Atlanta Virtual Reality Meetup will have a variety of demonstrations available by local developers including CCP, ATLvr, Millions of Tiny Robots, Burton Posey and Foundry 45 so far announced. The event usually has between 8 – 10 developers showcasing their work but with CCP  running two 10′ x 10′ areas for EVE: Valkyrie and VR Labs (the studios experimental projects) space will be slightly more limited.

The Oculus Rift headset is tested by attendees at the Eurogamer Expo at Earls Court in London.

The event is being held at the Battle & Brew bar in Sandy Springs on Sunday 25th July, from 5.30pm to 9.00pm. It will also be industry night at Battle & Brew, so for those in the Technology, Gaming & Hospitality industries, get their second round on Battle & Brew. The bar is also an 18+ venue so bring your id, Atlanta Virtual Reality Meetup will be having another event soon for younger VR fans.

VRFocus will continue to report on any further announcements from Atlanta Virtual Reality Meetup when they happen.
