Following a playable debut on PlayStation 4 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Los Angeles, earlier this month, Reload Studios has revealed a selection of new screenshots taken from the forthcoming World War Toons. As with the E3 trailer, all of these new images were created using in-game assets designed for virtual reality (VR).
While World War Toons has thus far only been showcased on VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) – the PlayStation 4’s Project Morpheus at E3 and Oculus Rift at VRLA, Los Angeles, back in March – the final build of the videogame will be playable on a traditional 2D monitor. Furthermore, World War Toons will support co-operative and competitive gameplay between traditional monitor set-ups and HMD-based players. VRFocus got hands-on with the Project Morpheus edition of World War Toons at E3, stating in our preview: ‘World War Toons remains one of the most interesting prospects for traditional videogame fans in VR’.
The new screenshots taken from World War Toons follow below. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on this and other VR projects from California based Reload Studios.
