Considering Trackmania is often thought of as a relatively small franchise, the latest iteration, Trackmania Turbo, has become something of a hot topic today. Not only was the videogame revealed to be in development for Project Morpheus this morning, but also it was revealed to be playable at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Los Angeles, beginning tomorrow and new gameplay details arriving less than an hour ago. Now, VRFocus has received word of an official launch date for the videogame.
Trackmania Turbo is the latest edition in Nadeo’s long-running community-based racing title. Currently in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, Trackmania Turbo will honour the track manipulation and huge variety of gameplay modes that the series has become famous for. Further to this, the videogame will feature brand new multiplayer modes and a random track generator.
Of course, there still remains a question of how all of this will perform in virtual reality (VR). More over – aside from the Project Morpheus confirmation – which VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) will be supported by the videogame. Those questions are likely to be answered sooner rather than later, as publisher Ubisoft has confirmed that Trackmania Turbo will launch on 27th November 2015. VRFocus will pursue more details on Trackmania Turbo at this week’s E3, reporting back with any further information.
