Minecraft wasn’t the only Microsoft owned franchise to get a starring role during the HoloLens portion of their 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) briefing. Halo also received attention in the form of a brand new experience entitled Warzone and based around forthcoming Xbox One first-person shooter (FPS) videogame Halo 5: Guardians.
In Warzone HoloLens users move through a number of virtual sets based on the Halo series and featuring many visuals fans of the series will recognise before eventually being briefed by the commander of the Spartan, Sarah Palmer.
Microsoft has released a number of screenshots to showcase aspects of Warzone, you can find these below:
It’s is, however, not clear at this time if this experience will develop into a full title when HoloLens launches in full – this itself being something Microsoft won’t be drawn on at this time. For now, VRFocus will continue to follow developments with HoloLens and its tech demos closely, and will report back with any updates on their progress.
