Next month’s Develop, Brighton, will offer the UK videogames industry a chance to discuss the latest advances in the medium and the technology that supports it. Undoubtedly virtual reality (VR) will be a hot topic at the event just as it was last year, but confirmation of this has arrived sooner than expected with Tammeka Games’ Radial-G: Racing Evolved confirmed to be part of the 10-title strong Indie Showcase line-up.
Radial-G: Racing Evolved is not the only confirmed VR title being hosted as part of the Indie Showcase, as Grip Games’ Q.U.B.E. 2 will also feature, promising both Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus support. Additional titles include another from Grip Games, The Solus Project, and Fragments of Him from Sassybot Studios, both of which appear to offer gameplay suited to VR. You can find the full line-up of Indie Showcase titles on the official Develop website.
“The quality of the entries into the Indie Showcase this year has been exceptional,” commented chairman of the Indie Showcase judging panel, Adam Green. “The 10 shortlisted titles represent the best of what was already an outstanding bunch of games submitted and represents a range of platforms from PC and mobile to the emerging virtual reality.”
Develop is set to take place 14th – 16th July 2015. The Indie Showcase will be open on the 15th and 16th within the Develop Expo. The event highlights independently-developed videogames selected by a judging panel of industry experts. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest VR related announcements for the event.
