While earlier this year Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) revealed that the Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD) would be arriving ‘first half 2016’, there has been little information in the way of possible launch titles. Now MixedBag Games has announced that Futuridium will be available from launch and playable at SCE’s stand at E3 2015.
Futuridium is a space based shooter that runs at native 120 frames per second with re-projection on top of it to give the players the smoothest experience with the lowest latency possible.
Mauro Fanelli, co founder of MixedBag Games says ‘The early version we’re showcasing draws a lot from Futuridium EP Deluxe, but the final version of the game will be a lot more similar to a certain space game with a fox and will sport gameplay mechanics peculiar to VR’ and ‘We can also announce that Futuridium EP Deluxe, currently free on PlayStation Network for PSPlus members, will get full Project Morpheus compatibility free and will be available at the Morpheus launch’.
VRFocus will be at E3 for any further announcements on Futuridium and Project Morpheus.
