We’ve all played, be it intentionally or otherwise, a variation of a hidden object game growing up. Most of you will be familiar with this as the ‘where did I put it/where did they move it to’ game which is usually played when you are in the most urgent need of the object in question be they keys, or documents, your wallet, etc. It is one of those things that people are either breathlessly good at or utterly hopeless.
If you fallinto the latter category your may not wish to try today’s New To VR videogame from developer Diego Bez’s Mistral Social Games. Hidden Objects in VR: The Shopping List places you in the middle of a supermarket. A sort of virtual reality (VR) version of Supermarket Sweep, your task is to hunt through the aisles in order to find the items in your trolley, be it a bag of flour or a packet of digestive biscuits. Once found you’ll be able to buy them at the checkout, but you’re up against the clock in order to do so. Completing lists successfully goes towards unlocking bigger shop floor areas and harder challenges.
Available on WEARVR as a free download, Hidden Objects in VR: The Shopping List is compatible with the Oculus Rift Dk1 or DK2 head-mounted display (HMD) and works on both Windows and Mac. The videogame can be controlled either by mouse, keyboard, controller or alternatively Razer Hydra.
VRFocus will continue to bring you a frequent dose of apps, videogames and experiences that is new to the world of VR.
