New To VR: Chibi Attack! VR

After E3 brought us a glood of virtual reality (VR) and indeed augmented reality (AR) news, now that it is over we can get return to our regular features. That begins with today’s New To VR.

If you are not familiar with the term ‘chibi’ it refers originally to someone who is of small stature in Japanese. Overtime though through the translation of anime and manga into western language it has also come to refer to the ‘super-deformed’ style of art. Most of the time it is used to depict characters in a cute form away from their normal look and is often used in daydreams or comedic asides.

Chibi Attack! VR

Chibi Attack! VR a new app from Legend Studios a 3D catapult game (think Angry Birds in both 3D and VR) sees you control the character Chib-Chibi, who flings herself into action in order to defeat the evil Mega-Chibi who has cast a spell on their town.

Chibiston.

You’re seeing where this is going I trust?

Featuring multiplayer, some very nice looking graphics and control via either keyboard or an XBOX controller the app is avaiable on WEARVRas a free download and is compatible with the Oculus Rift DK2 head-mounted display (HMD).

VRFocus will bring you more new apps and VR experiences throughout the week.
