Are you a winner? The answer is of course you are, as you’re reading VRFocus. But beyond that have you ever wondered what it would be like to sit in a crowded auditorium, waiting patiently as the nominees are announced, holding your breath in the hope that your name is read out? If so, wonder no more thanks to a new Google Cardboard experience Award Simulator VR.
Created by developers Virtualizar+, who are responsible for a number of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications for Google Cardboard, including ViewMaster VR, VR Hunter and Street Art AR+. Award Simulator VR puts you in the position of someone who has won a Best Actor award at a major industry event complete with stage, video screen and audience of peers ready to applaud your victory. Unfortunately there are no other options, there is no Best Actress for instance or any alternate awards that can be won but if you ever wanted to find out what suddenly being the centre of attention (without cause for embarrassment) would be like this might just be the way to do it.
A somewhat unusual choice for a VR experience, nevertheless the Android based app is also compatible with other VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) Durovis Dive, Homido, and the Carl Zeiss VR One. It can be downloaded either from the Google Play store or alternatively from WEARVR.
VRFocus will continue to bring you a daily dose of new VR apps, videogames and experiences that you can download for your VR HMD.
