It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Lucky’s Tale, the third-person platform based virtual reality (VR) videogame from indie developer Playful Corp. It was perhaps expected that the title, which is being published by Oculus VR itself, would make a return today at the company’s pre-E3 press conference and the studio behind the title hasn’t disappointed. A brand new trailer for Lucky’s Tale can now be seen below and the developer has confirmed that fans can expect to see much more next week when the title heads to E3.
The trailer is brief but manages to showcase several new environments from the VR title, which only had the area first seen on display at its debut just before E3 2014. New areas include an underwater cavern, a swamp and what appears to be a flooded city. It also provides a good look at Lucky himself, who has seen a huge redesign since the title’s original reveal. The core gameplay, in which the cartoon fox scrambles around defeating enemies and picking up collectable items, appears to very much be in place.
VRFocus will continue to follow Lucky’s Tale closely, reporting back with any further updates on the videogame.
