Tanks and videogames go hand in hand, and have done so for many years. One of the surprise announcements to come out of E3 2015 in Los Angeles, California, was from UK-based independent developer Rebellion with a reboot of Battlezone running on the PlayStation 4’s Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD).
VRFocus has already reported on the revealed trailer and now there are more screen shots of the game to wet your appetite, for a game originally published on the Atari 2600 in the early 80’s and widely regarded as the forefather of VR videogaming with it’s periscope display. Battlezone which is currently the working title, is a first-person tank warfare game spread out over gorgeous neon landscapes, aiming to deliver arcade action with a deeper tactical challenge.
VRFocus will be on hand to report any updates or progress on Battlezone.
