The first sessions for this year’s VRTGO event have been revealed, with UK studios nDreams and CCP Newcastle announced as the headline speakers. VRTGO will take place this November, and is the second instalment of the annual virtual reality (VR) conference hosted in the UK.
Patrick O’Luanaigh, CEO at nDreams, has long championed VR as a new form of interactive entertainment. Speaking at several events across the globe in the past year, O’Luanaigh has become a known advocate for VR as a storytelling medium. nDreams are currently developing several VR videogames, including the recently re-revealed The Assembly for Oculus Rift, Project Morpheus and HTC Vive.
CCP Newcastle are developing the VR exclusive videogame EVE: Valkyrie, which has been positioned as the poster child of VR since it’s initial reveal at EVE Fanfest 2013, then going by the name of EVE VR. It’s not yet been revealed who from CCP Newcastle will be speaking at VRTGO, nor the subject of their talk.
The third and final speaker revealed for VRTGO thus far is Ana Ribeiro, creator of the eagerly awaited Pixel Ripped. Along with producer Stef Keegan, Ribeiro is currently developing both home system and mobile editions of the Pixel Ripped series.
VRTGO will be held on 12th November 2015, at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Newcastle. Early bird tickets are currently available priced at £139 GBP and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest speaker sessions announced for the event.
