Virtual reality (VR) enthusiasts and developers in Germany already have one event to look forward to in the new future as a Cologne VR Meetup takes place in a few months’ time on 7th August, supported by the popular trade show, Gamescom. Those in the country that can’t wait that long to get their hands on some more VR are in luck, however. This weekend will see the third Munich VR Meetup take place in the city.
The event is set to be held on 13th June at the office space of digital studio Mantro at Zielstattstraße 19, München, de. It kicks off at 17:00 GMT+2 and will host a range of talks and demos based on the latest happenings in VR. This weekend’s event is sure to have plenty to cover following the pre-E3 conference hosted by Oculus VR yesterday, which revealed plenty of new information about the consumer version of the kit.
A range of head-mounted displays (HMDs) including the Oculus Rift’s first and second development kits (DK1 and DK2), the Durovis Dive, Gear VR and Google Cardboard are set to feature at the event. Those hoping to showcase their own work are advised to turn up and hour early in order to have time to prepare.
VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR meetups, reporting back with the latest updates on them.
