Austin based virtual reality (VR) specialist studio Ghost Machine has today announced a new playable demo for the popular Motorsport Revolution. Motorsport Revolution is described by the developer as an ‘immersive car racing action game specifically designed for VR racing in mind’.
Available to download now, the Motorsport Revolution demo is playable in Steam VR mode with the second iteration of the Oculus Rift development kit, aka DK2. The videogame can also be played on a traditional 2D monitor for players without the virtual reality headset.
CEO of Ghost Machine, Neal Nellans, is enthusiastic about the Steam release: “As more and more people try VR, we want to make sure that they have a chance to try our games. The Steam demo release of Motorsport Revolution allows everyone with a VR headset to try our original VR racer.”
Motorsport Revolution launched earlier this year and was warmly received by the VR community, but has received mixed reviews from the wider videogames audience. Now players on both side of the fence can judge for themselves. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest releases from Ghost Machine.
