Kite & Lightning has spent much of the past two years making a strong name for itself in the virtual reality (VR) community. The developer has worked on a number of popular VR experiences over the past two years, including promotional tie-ins such as The Voice: Be The Coach and, of course, it’s popular VR mini-opera, Senza Peso. Today the company is revealing a brand new experience for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) that’s been developed in collaboration with AMD and General Electric (GE).
That project is Neuro, a brand new educational experience that dives inside the brain. Viewers are taken on a short tour of a young male’s mind that presents various functions of the brain in an artistic and fantastical interpretation. During their journey they will be educated on these areas by an A.I. that resembles a talking head. It’s a virtual rollercoaster ride of sorts in which the viewer is treated to some spectacular sites. It will be on display as part of the E3 conference in Los Angeles, California this week.
A brief gameplay clip of the experience can be seen below. VRFocus has already seen Neuro for itself and will be delivering a preview of it a little later on.
VRFocus will continue to follow Neuro and Kite & Lightning’s work, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
