Now available on consumer Gear VR mobile head-mounted display (HMD) units from Oculus Home is Jurassic World: Apatosaurus by Canadian developer Felix and Paul Studios to coincide with the blockbuster movie release, Jurassic World.
Jurassic World: Apatosaurus invites the viewer to experience what it’s like to be in the presence and close proximity of this particular dinosaur. Within a wooded environment, using a combination of real footage and CG for the dinosaur to immerse the viewer into the Jurassic era.
The studio is better known for a number of other Gear VR experiences, such as Inside The Box of Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities, based on the Cirque Du Soleil, a promotional video for the Reese Witherspoon movie, Wild, and being selected by Oculus VR and Samsung to create Samsung Gear VR: Introduction to VR.
Jurassic World is the fourth instalment of the franchise and is now out on general release. VRFocus will follow any further updates or announcements on Gear VR and report back.
