Music videogame maestros Harmonix are developing for the PlayStation 4’s Project Morpheus, it has been revealed today. Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) are expected to give the head-mounted display (HMD) a ‘big push’ at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Los Angeles, this week and this begins today with several developers already confirmed to be working on new VR videogame titles.
Harmonix have already taken a small step into the new medium with their Gear VR title, Harmonix Music VR (abbreviated to ‘HMX Music VR’ at the time), as revealed alongside the mobile HMD itself last year. VRFocus got hands-on with Harmonix Music VR at the time, stating: “HMX Music VR offers one of the most compelling and unique experiences seen on the Gear VR thus far, if not the entire VR scene.”
The Project Morpheus title from Harmonix has been revealed to have the same name, according to Wired, though it’s not yet known if it is indeed the same experience. VRFocus is at E3 this week and will report back with all the latest details from the show floor.
