A collective of ex-Evolution Studios patriots have launched a new development studio specialising in virtual reality (VR) content. Secret Sorcery, based in St Helens in the North West of England, have not yet revealed any projects but are committed to developing ‘a number of original and highly immersive VR games’.
Helmed by Scott Kirkland, Managing Director, the team have previously worked on a number of notable AAA videogame titles, including DRIVECLUB, Pursuit Force, Delta Force – Black Hawk Down, Blur, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, WipEout 2048, and the MotorStorm franchise. Also acting as part of Secret Sorcery at Alan McDermott, Creative Director, Ian Moran, Technical Director, Craig Beeston, Programming Director and Nigel Middleman, Technical Art Director.

While no projects from the studio have yet been announced, the team have stated that all members ‘already have extensive hands-on experience of both Project Morpheus and Oculus VR development’. VRFocus will keep you updated with any future announcements from Secret Sorcery.
