Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE’s) Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) for the PlayStation 4 was revealed back in March 2014. Few compatible videogames were announced for the device at the time, but among them was EVE: Valkyrie, the anticipated multiplayer space shooter from CCP Games that’s also on its way to the Oculus Rift HMD. The title has been seen running on Project Morpheus as few times since then, and will again appear on the device at E3 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
CCP Games has confirmed that, along with the Oculus Rift, EVE: Valkyrie will be on display at SCE’s booth at E3 this year. VR fans are hoping to hear more about Project Morpheus itself later on today at its own E3 press conference. It’s already been revealed that a handful of new projects will be at the show, including a new title from Killzone developer Guerrilla Games and Ubisoft with its VR rendition of Trackmania.
EVE: Valkyrie itself is set in the popular EVE Online universe. Players hop into space craft and take part in intense battles. It’s not year clear when the title will be launching at this point in time.
VRFocus will continue to follow EVE: Valkyrie closely, reporting back with the latest updates on it.
