Codemasters’ DiRT Rally launched via Steam Early Access in April of this year, complete with Oculus Rift support as standard. A new update for the videogame, Tarmac Terrors, has launched today bringing a whole host of new content and a simple – but important – fix for those playing the videogame in virtual reality (VR).
Adding to the videogame’s already plentiful supply of content, Tarmac Terrors offers 12 new stages based at Baumholder in Germany and 7 new rally cars, including the Renault Alpine A110 1600S, Opel Kadett GT/E 16v, Lancia 037 Evo 2, Seat Ibiza Kitcar and Peugeot 306 Maxi. Additionally, new online events have been added for both daily and weekly players.
In terms of VR, the latest update fixes a bug wherein the background on the main menu would sometimes vanish. This may not be seen as the most essential of fixes, however it does indicate that Codemasters are still keen to continue their support of VR head-mounted displays (HMDs).
This latest update for DiRT Rally is available to download now. The videogame can be purchased from Steam Early Access now and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest VR efforts from Codemasters.
