Virtual reality (VR) fans have been holidng out hope for some big videogame reveals at Oculus VR’s pre-E3 press conference today in Los Angeles, California. The VR specialist is talking more about the consumer version of the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) at the event, but it isn’t forgetting to mention some new titles are on their way to the device. One of those titles is from indie developer Gunfire Games. That title is Chronos
Chronos is a third-person RPG in which players control a young man that is given one chance per year to assault a labyrinth. As his chances are used up, the protagonist ages. He’ll explore caverns and ancient tombs on his journey.
This isn’t Gunfire Games first VR project, or even its first time working with Oculus VR itself. Earlier in the year the company was revealed to be behind the now available Herobund: Spirit Champion on Gear VR. The title was actually a sequel to Oculus VR’s first internally developed videogame, Herobound: First Steps. Outside of VR the company has today also confirmed that it is working on a remaster for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition. It’s also said to be working on a ‘large-scale project’ based on that franchise.
VRFocus will continue to follow Gunfire Games’ progress with ???, reporting back with the latest updates on the title.
