There are a number of companies that at offering a range of solutions for capturing 360 degree footage for viewing virtual reality (VR) in head-mounted displays (HMDs) at the moment. Among them is 360Heros, a company that offers a line of camera rigs that utilise GoPro cameras to shoot footage that is then stitched together to make an immersive video. The company’s product range will be on display later this week as 360Heros appears at the 2015 Cine Gear Expo on 5th and 6th June in Los Angeles, California.
A range of 10 different ‘360 Plug-n-Play holder configurations’, utilising between six to 14 GoPro cameras, will be on display at the event. 360Heros will also be showcasing its latest VR demos and media management solutions at the event. The latter consists of software named 360CamMan V2, which aims to ‘take the guesswork out’ of managing multiple cameras and more.

The workflow solutions that we’ve developed during that time were created based on the challenges and needs that we’ve experienced ourselves as content creators and we’re excited to share this technology with the Cine Gear community” 360Heros CEO Michael Kintner said of the news.
