Last week saw Radial-G developer Tammeka Games tease that it was currently working on more than one virtual reality (VR) videogame. VR fans have been following the team’s sci-fi racer for nearly a year now, but the studio has recently teased that it will have ‘at least one’ ready for the launch of the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) in Q1 2016. The developer is still yet to reveal whatever projects it has in the works, but it appears that one of them will be coming to the upcoming VR in a Bar event in London and running on Samsung’s Gear VR HMD.
VR in a Bar has today announced Tammeka Games as its headline sponsor for the event on 3rd June 2015. The developer will of course be showing off Radial-G, which is currently preparing to launch the third and final major update for its Early Access edition, but will also be bringing its new Gear VR title to the event. There aren’t any hints as to just what this title could be, although Tammeka Games’ earlier tweet suggests that it may well also be coming to the Oculus Rift in time for early 2016.
VR in a Bar takes place at 18:00 GMT at the Loading Bar on 97 Stoke Newington Road, N16 8BX, London on 3rd June. Along with Radial-G, the event’s organisers have confirmed Roto VR, the motorised spinning-chair experience, as the event’s headline exhibitor. Also set to attend is Crystal Rift, the VR dungeon crawler from Psytec Games, along with Visualise and VR Craftworks. The event is still looking for exhibitors and those interested can get in contact with Virtual Umbrella’s Samantha Kingston at Samantha@virtualumbrella.marketing.
