Earlier in the month VRFocus reported on the launch of a Steam Greenlight campaign for a new virtual reality (VR) compatible racing simulation title by the named of RC Simulation. Developer Devotid Media hoped to raise enough positive votes on the campaign in order to launch the title on Valve’s digital store with full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Said campaign has been very successful, having been approved in less than two weeks of originally being posted.
Played from a third-person perspective, RC Simulation sees racers steer their vehicles through six different off road tracks, featuring both indoors and outdoors experiences. Tracks have a total of eight different views to choose from. Players will be able to make real-time adjustments to their vehicles on a pit table and can select one of 15 ‘Legend Series’ painted lexan bodies. A demo for the title is already available through the developer’s website, as is the full version.
It’s not year clear when RC Simulation will see its Steam launch. VRFocus will continue to follow each and every VR compatible videogame, reporting back with the latest on them.
