This year’s Nordic Game event, will play host to a speaker session from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) discussing the forthcoming Project Morpheus. Nordic Game will take place at Malmö, Sweden, from 20th – 22nd May 2015.
Recently revealed to launch next year, Project Morpheus is a virtual reality (VR) device currently in development exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Jed Ashforth, Senior Game Designer (SCEE) and a prominent figure in the modern VR community, will present a talk entitled ‘Beyond Immersion: Designing for Project Morpheus’ on 20th May 2015 and 12:15pm (WEDT).
The official description of the talk, as listed on the Nordic Game website, reads: “Jed Ashforth, Senior Game Designer at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, discusses the exciting Project Morpheus VR platform with practical information for game developers exploring the possibilities of virtual reality.”
Ashforth has previously delivered a number of talks on VR, including the ‘Rebooting Game Design for Virtual Reality’ session at GDC Europe last year. No other VR sessions have yet been announced for Nordic Game 2015, but VRFocus will keep you updated should any further VR related activities be revealed.
