Some videogames regardless of what genre it is or what platform it is on when you look at them you know it will be fun and you know you’d like to try it out. You may well find that to be the case with Lollihop, another new listing on the Oculus VR Share platform.
A platformer with a traditional feel, Lollihop has you take on the roll of a piñata-looking rabbit trying to get cross high-rise rooftops. Your only tool on this journey is a giant, oversized and extremely sticky lollipop which can be not only to remove the many multicoloured sheep from your path but can be used to hold them stuck to it until such time as you wish to fling them off and use them as projectiles. The sticky sweet can also be used to traverse the environment, latching on to protruding surfaces, allowing you to climb walls that would be otherwise impossible to scale.
Developed by Samuli Jääskeläinen as part of the Ludum Dare 32 72h Game Jam and made to support both the DK1 and DK2 versions of the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), Lollihop already has a large number of downloads and very positive comments and should you to wish to give it a try you can find the game here.
