Oculus VR has promised to share plenty of information about the consumer version of the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) in the run up to E3 2015 from 16th – 18th June, but it is of course saving some news for the event itself, or rather just before it. The company has today confirmed that it will be hosting its first ever E3 press conference at this year’s event.
The conference takes place on June 11th, San Francisco. It’s not confirmed what we’ll see there but, with the Oculus Rift confirmed for a Q1 2016 launch and PC specs confirmed, fans can hope to see some new videogames and perhaps some more information on that release date.
E3 is going to be a big show for VR in general, with Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) also set to further detail its Project Morpheus HMD at the event.
VRFocus will continue to follow Oculus VR closely, reporting back with the latest updates on it.
