Following the revelation that a Kickstarter campaign for Space Bear’s forthcoming Galaxy Heist will launch next month, a new trailer has been made available. Featuring gameplay footage taking directly from the in-development version of the videogame, this new trailer offers insight into how the disparate components of the gameplay will merge into a cohesive experience.
Labelled ‘alpha gameplay’, the trailer showcases both the first-person and space ship piloting aspects of Galaxy Heist. Players will engage in the latter in order to take control of an enemy vessel before boarding it and taking on the crew in a first-person shooter (FPS) style of gameplay. Players can opt to pilot large ships, man turrets or even take on the role of a wing-man in a small drone when attacking enemy ships, but once aboard it’s all about the accuracy of your gunfire in direct combat.
The crowd-funding campaign for Galaxy Heist, which will launch on PC with compatibility for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) is due to launch this week. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Galaxy Heist and any other virtual reality (VR) projects from Space Bear.
