It’s a busy time for indie developer Team Junkfish, as the studio recently announced that the full version of its anticipated horror title, Monstrum, would be launching on 20th May 2015, with support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) to arrive in the near future. This week’s news was also accompanied with the reveal of a brand new launch trailer for the PC videogame, which can now be seen below.
The trailer, which lasts just over a minute, shows a cargo crate being loaded onto the ship in which Monstrum is set, with clips of the title’s first-person gameplay being teased. Monstrum will task players with escaping this ship as they are hunted down by one of a number of monsters. Should they die, then they will start from scratch with an entirely new ship layout.
While Oculus Rift support is yet to arrive, Team Junkfish hasn’t commented on the possibility of porting Monstrum to the HTC Vive HMD. VRFocus will continue to follow the title closely, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
