IVRPA Hosting VR Photography and Video Conference Next Week

With improvements rapidly being made to 360 degree cameras and new concepts such as Google Jump being announced, virtual reality (VR) video and photography is becoming an increasingly promising part of the technology’s future. That will be reflected next week as the International VR Photography Association (IVRPA) hosts the 360 Degree Virtual Reality Panoramic Photography & Video Conference at the Big Oko Theatre and Hotel Belvedere Praha in Prague, Czech Republic from 1st – 4th June 2015.

The event, now in its tenth year, will see a number of talks, workshops and even some reveals take place. These include sessions such as ‘Preparing your 360° content for VR headsets’ from fisheye lens studio iZugar and ‘Challenges and opportunities behind cinematic VR’ from popular cinematic VR company, Jaunt. Another workshop, titled ‘Panoramas and the Google Ecosystem’, will no doubt prove interesting given the recent announcements that Google itself has made at its I/O developer conference.

Elsewhere, Pano2E will be revealing the latest version of its panorama software in Pano2VR 5, Giroptic will be taking ‘Virtual Sensor Technology, a new way to build hardware for 360 imaging’ and World of VR will host a session title ‘Using Augmented and Virtual Reality to boost 360° usability’. The event’s platinum sponsor is Google itself, with other support coming from Kolor, Nodal Ninja, Rouneme and more.

VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR related events, reporting back with the latest updates on it.
