HTC Vive Running Tilt Brush and Leap Motion on Display at SFVR #9
The Silicon Valley Virtual Reality (SVVR) Conference & Expo took place earlier this month, bringing together VR developers and fans to discuss the latest on the tech. But this isn’t the only community event to take place this May; San Francisco Virtual Reality (SFVR) #9 is also scheduled to take place on 30th May 2015 at Adobe Systems in San Francisco, California, USA. With the event close, a full list of exhibitors has been revealed, with some major players in the VR space set to make an appearance.
The most recent additions to the SFVR line-up include Leap Motion, a company that’s currently pouring a lot of effort into wireless hand-tracking for VR experiences. Also new is Tilt Brush, a VR tool for painting spaces around the user. The title will be presented on the developer edition of HTC Vive head-mounted display (HMD).
The event will also see exhibits from FOVE, the eye-tracking HMD that’s currently running a successful Kickstarter campaign. Elsewhere, spherical camera Ricoh Theta, VR studio Innerspace, VR Jam finalist Lily Pad, underwater title Narcosis, data company Greenlight VR and mobile HMD Homido will also feature at the show.
Tickets to the event, which gets underway at 18:00 PDT are already sold out. Ahead of the event itself, SFVR will be hosting a Google Project Tango Hackathon in which Bay Area developers will be competing to win devices that the 3D mapping software. Project Tango will also be on display at the expo in the evening, running with the Durovis DIVE mobile HMD. Google itself is also providing free catering for the event.
VRFocus will continue to follow SFVR and all over VR related events, reporting back with the latest on them.
