The world-famous Cirque du Soleil production is already no stranger to virtual reality (VR) technology. Cirque du Soleil’s Zarkana was one of the first 360 degree experiences to be made available for the Samsung Gear VR mobile head-mounted display back in 2014, allowing viewers to witness spectacular stunts in VR. Samsung recently teased that a brand new experience from the production was on the way. Today, that experience has launched, with the first images available below.
Cirque du Soleil’s Kurios is now available on both the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 versions of the Gear VR for free. This is another 360 degree experience that this time immerses players in the ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’. The listing on the Oculus VR store describes the piece as “A mysterious and fascinating realm that disorients your senses and challenges your perceptions, leaving you to wonder: “Is it real, or just a figment of my imagination?””
As with the previous Cirque du Soleil, this piece is created by Felix and Paul Studios. VRFocus will continue to follow each and every release for Gear VR, reporting back with the latest updates on them.
