There are plenty of London-based virtual reality (VR) events taking place on a regular basis, though many are aimed largely at developers. VR in a Bar, which takes place at the Loading Bar, separates itself from that pack by acting as social event for just about anyone to come and sample the latest VR technology and titles before they are released. It’s been a little while since the last event was held but the next date has recently been scheduled for just over a month from now.
Organised by Virtual Umbrella, VR in a Bar will next be held on 3rd June 2015 from 18:00 GMT at the Loading Bar on 97 Stoke Newington Road, N16 8BX, London. The latest event will feature a headline exhibitor in the form of Roto VR, the seated VR experience which allows for foot-based control of turning both within a title and real life. Psytec Games’ Crystal Rift will also feature. Those interested in exhibiting at the event can contact Virtual Umbrella’s Samantha Kingson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Sponsorship enquiries can be directed to Bertie Millis at email@example.com.
Entry to the event is free via an Eventbrite page.
VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR events, reporting back with the latest updates on them.
