The PC release of Grand Theft Auto V has been incredibly well received both by audiences and the industry. All manner of ‘Let’s Play’ videos and interesting uses of the videogame’s content have since made their way onto the internet, perhaps none more so than Virtuix’s own showcase of Grand Theft Auto V being played with an Oculus Rift DK2 and their own input device, the Omni.
Virtuix regularly use existing videogame properties to showcase their virtual reality (VR) technology, including a popular video featuring Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare which released during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) back in January. The Omni was born of a successful Kickstarter campaign in which Virtuix raised $1,109,351 USD, far in excess of the $150,000 goal. The device is expected to launch later this year and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details from Virtuix.
