Earlier in the week VRFocus reported on the launch of a brand new premium title for Samsung’s Gear VR smartphone-based virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD). That title was Viral from UK-based indie developer Fierce Kaiju. It’s currently available for $4.99 USD for free to anyone that downloaded the demo, Viral Lite. The videogame’s launch was also accompanied by a new trailer. Said trailer can now be seen below.
Lasting just over a minute and a half, the clip features plenty of footage from Viral. In the videogame players are tasked with eliminating humanoid viruses found in a computer system known as E.V.E.. This is done from a first-person perspective, aiming at enemies and shooting them with blue bullets.
The full version of Viral is only available in the USA for now, as this is the only region to currently have access to the commerce version of the Oculus VR Store that hosts Gear VR compatible content. A launch in other territories is expected in the near future. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all Gear VR titles, reporting back with the latest updates on them.
