Journey to France and the Gardens of Versailles in ‘Labyrinth of Fables’, out now on Oculus VR Share. The app is a virtual reconstruction of the maze that came to the grounds of the royal palace, the famous Château de Versailles in the mid-seventeenth century before it was destroyed just over a century later.
The app allows you to explore the twists and turns of the pathway before you, take in the trees, plants and architecture as well as discovering the various fountains that populate the path. The fountains are particularly interesting as they are themed, each of them illustrating one of Aesop’s fables. They can be interacted with as well, allowing you to hear the fable in question and learn its moral.
Developed by Copper Giloth – Associate Professor of Art at the University of Massachusetts Amherst – Labyrinth of Fables is confirmed to work for the Oculus Rift DK2. DK1 compatibility could not be tested according to the Oculus VR Share page.
VRFocus will continue to spotlight titles as they go up on Oculus VR Share. Check back daily.
